This course builds upon Manual Lymphatic Treatment for Massage Therapists, Level One with 4-hours of hands-on lab application of manual lymphatic treatment techniques for the non-cancer client. Participants will apply the techniques learned in Level I to case study scenarios to improve and refine their evidenced-based manual techniques. Instructor feedback will be provided on technique, pressure, pacing, and flow direction. In the first case study, participants will complete a full-body sequencing of MLT techniques learned from the previous level course.
Working with a lab partner, they will have the opportunity to be the clinician and the client for the ability to experience the session from both vantage points and provide and receive constructive feedback from co-participants and the instructor. Next, three other case scenarios will be provided, and clinicians will modify their manual techniques and treatment to accommodate the client's presentation and apply any necessary precautions. This intermediate-level course integrates knowledge from the Level One course and advances massage therapists' manual skills and confidence.
